Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) is a semi-finished steel product further processed from hot rolled coil at room temperature (below the recrystallization temperature of steel). This cold working process requires no high-temperature heating, avoiding common surface oxidation and defects such as pitting corrosion and scale formed during hot rolling. The finished steel coil features smooth and clean surface, strict dimensional tolerance and higher mechanical strength, suitable for application scenarios with high requirements on precision and appearance.
The core production of cold rolled coil starts with hot rolled steel. Firstly, pickling is conducted on hot rolled steel to remove surface scale. Then it is rolled through multiple pairs of rollers at room temperature to reduce thickness. Finally, annealing treatment is carried out to restore the ductility of materials and improve formability. These procedures ensure stable overall quality of the steel coil from surface finish to mechanical properties.
