B170P1 deep drawing steel is a deep-drawing grade phosphorus-containing high-strength ultra-low carbon killed steel. As a typical IF steel (interstitial steel), it is strengthened by adding phosphorus. Phosphorus's strengthening capacity is approximately 7 times that of silicon and 10 times that of manganese; therefore, only a small amount is needed to significantly improve strength, while avoiding the decrease in plasticity caused by large amounts of silicon and manganese. The ultra-low carbon content (≤0.006%) ensures its excellent deep-drawing performance and resistance to aging.
