ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coil

ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coil is made from high-quality hot-rolled coil as raw material and processed by cold rolling at room temperature (below recrystallization temperature). It belongs to low-carbon cold-rolled steel and is positioned as a commercial-grade cold-rolled steel for general forming. The number "12" after ST indicates that it is a general-grade cold-rolled thin steel, which is higher than ST11 and lower than ST13 (drawing grade) and ST14 (extra deep drawing grade). It is basically the same as the material of grades such as Q195, SPCC, and DC01. It is equivalent to EN10130 DC01, JIS SPCC, American standard ASTM A1008 CS, and Baosteel's enterprise standard Q/BQB 403 DC01. In principle, it is only suitable for bending and forming processing and is not intended for stamping. In practical applications, it can meet the needs of simple stamped parts with low requirements.

Product Features

• Excellent overall performance: As a common grade cold-rolled steel, ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coil typically has a yield strength (ReH) between 270-350 MPa and an elongation (A80) ≥ 28%. It achieves a good balance between strength, plasticity and toughness, and can meet the needs of most conventional applications.

• Excellent processing adaptability: This ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coil has good weldability and machinability, and is suitable for various cold working methods such as bending, hemming, and spot welding. Although its deep drawing performance is not as good as higher grades such as ST13 or ST14, it is perfectly capable of general bending, stretching, and forming operations.

• Excellent surface quality: ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coils have a smooth and highly flat surface, providing an excellent foundation for subsequent surface treatments such as spraying and electroplating. Different levels of finishing can be provided according to customer needs to ensure the final appearance of the product.

• Precise dimensional control: Utilizing a modern cold rolling production line, it can achieve precise control of thickness from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm, with small thickness tolerance and good flatness, meeting the manufacturing requirements of precision parts.

Packaging Method

Standard seaworthy export packaging is used. The inner layer is wrapped with a moisture-proof film, and the outer layer is wrapped and secured with waterproof kraft paper and galvanized iron sheet. Both ends are sealed with protective plates to prevent moisture, scratches, deformation and other problems during transportation. Packaging specifications can be adjusted according to the customer's export or inland transportation needs.

Storage Requirements

It is recommended that the ST12 Cold Rolled Steel Coil be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool warehouse, away from humid, acidic, and alkaline environments. Avoid open-air storage to prevent the steel from rusting. When stacking, the product should be placed flat to avoid deformation from stacking pressure. Steel coils of different specifications and surface grades should be stacked separately for easy management and retrieval.
